Until I met you
All I knew about love
Was how to live without it
You were sunshine in a cold, dark enclave
Warmth that melted the cold grip of harmattan
And made flowers blossom with zest
You were everything I’d ever wanted
Needed or hoped for
The most wonderful aspect however
The quintessence was
That convincing thought you loved me
Even beyond the superficial or superfluous
You see, beneath the aura of success
The ambience of affluence
That most people take for success
Lies that inner craving that is incomplete
Without true love that transcends the superficial
Into the infinitum of uncondition
When a man has found that kind of love
Isn’t he to be considered richer in possession
Of substance than one who has gold and silver
But not love that extends beyond materialism?
Such a man I am
Who has found the elixir of life
In its entirety
All engrossed in one personality and character
In you.
